WORKED EXAMPLE

An original leap-day anchor can return in later leap years

A February 29, 2028 event has a clamped first anniversary on February 28, 2029. Its fourth anniversary is February 29, 2032.

Try the example in the calculator above. Change one input at a time and compare the target, interval and selected rules. For a longer explanation read Birthday and Anniversary Dates: Targets, Recurrences and Leap Days.

Conventions to keep with your result

The tool uses calendar-year anniversaries. It does not count each month as a fixed duration or permanently replace an original leap-day anchor with its clamped intermediate date.

Current dates keep moving forward. Today follows the selected calendar time zone. Rule-based Gregorian dates are generated for the requested year. A fixed input remains the visitor's chosen date. External holiday records require coverage for that year.
